Sports and action
Sail off Sunset Beach or any of the other 101 spots. Or race the local hot shots at Milnerton Aquatic Club.
Kite surf off Table View Beach. Want to learn kite surfing? go to Langebaan just over an hour drive up the coast and rent gear from Cape Sport Center.
Surf at one of many great surf breaks around the Cape coast.
Rock climb Table Mountain - then abseil down.
Hike the many trails around Table Mountain.
Hang glide off the side of Signal Hill.
Sight seeing
The Cape peninsula has 14,000 plant species. Visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve and see the unique Cape flora.
Drive or cycle the coastal road through Hout Bay and along Chapman's Peak for stunning sea views.
Visit Franschoek where the early French settlers started a rich wine making tradition.
If you happen to visit during September, drive north of Cape Town and see the desert flowers in bloom.
Wine tasting
South Africa's best wine is grown and produced less than an hour's drive from Cape Town. Wine Estates welcome visitors for winery tours and tasting sessions.
